The Challenge

Theobald Fox is a small creative agency in Farringdon. They had an in-house design team who'd created a beautiful visual identity for their new portfolio site—but needed someone to actually build it.

Agency portfolio sites have a specific job: show the work, look good doing it, don't get in the way. The design team had strong opinions about how things should look and behave. Our job was to translate that vision into something that worked on the web.

Our Approach

We worked closely with their design team, treating the relationship as a collaboration rather than a handoff. They knew exactly what they wanted; we knew what was technically feasible and how to get there.

Perch CMS was the right fit—lightweight, flexible, and easy for their team to update. Portfolio sites need frequent updates as new work comes in, and nobody wants to call a developer every time they win a new client.

The build focused on details: smooth image loading, subtle hover states, transitions that feel intentional rather than decorative. When designers are your client, they notice the small things.
